Em xin mở màn bằng 1 sản phẩm mâm đĩa than làm bằng gỗ: I was pretty much stunned by the gorgeous Scheu Diamond ($2995 without tonearm). Standard finishes for this 'table are black, clear, blue (!), pink (!!), and gold glitter (!!!), but the one we see here, made special for the show, boasts an elegant wood finish. The Diamond uses an external motor with speed controls, and, as shown, sports a Schroeder Model 2 tonearm ($2450) and Allaerts Mk.2 cartridge ($5300). We listened to a couple of tracks off the excellent Fleet Foxes album, and I was impressed by the wide soundstage and overall smooth presentation.
Và cái Preamp trông rất lạ mắt: Are you kidding me? The DNM 3D-6 preamp ($13,995 with power supply) is cased in smoked acrylic and it shimmers and it glows. Who cares what it sounds like? How do you not just want this thing? To be in its presence is to want it. Ask Art Dudley.
Loa nầy trông cũng lạ mắt lun: See this little guy? It's the Gradient Helsinki ($8000/pair). I'm a big fan of this weird-ass speaker. Rather than placing its drive-units within a cabinet, the drive-units are laid bare, free for the world to see, mounted onto the speaker's narrow body. Why? Free love. Free love! Cabinet resonances are eliminated. The Helsinki's dipole-radiation woofer projects sound from side to side, canceling out top-to-bottom sound waves and minimizing deleterious room reflections. That's the idea, at least. I haven't actually heard the thing. I just like the concept. I mean, look at it! It's awesome. I know, I know: It's all about the sound and appearances don't matter, blah fart cough blah. Get over it, audiophiles. Live a little, love a lot, have some fun before you die.
2 Hảng VTL và Avalon cùng bắt tay nhau : I literally breathed a sigh of relief when I entered this room. Not that anything was wrong with the exceptional sound of the vast majority of rooms I visited. But of all the systems I auditioned, this one felt most like a safe haven. It was like coming home. Part of my response may be due to the fact that Casa Bellecci-Serinus is graced with a similar pair of VTL 450 monoblocks ($15,000/pair). But in this room, the VTLs were equipped, not with the KT-88s I use, but with Svetlana C 6550s that were delivering beautifully controlled bass, copious color, and extended highs. That, of course, has everything to do with the Avalon Acoustics Indra ($19,995/pair), which are designed to be played with the grilles on (see Wes Phillips' review in the October issue); the VTL TL 6.5 Signature Line preamplifier ($11,500) and new TP-6.5 Signature Phono Preamplifier ($8500); the fabled Ayre Acoustics C-5xe universal player ($5950); Cardas Golden Reference interconnects ($949/first meter), speaker cable ($1298/first meter), and power cords ($525/first 1.5 meter); and Finite Elemente Pagode Master Reference 600 5-Level stand ($8400) and amp stands ($1500 each). Avalon's Rob Thomas had also secreted 5 of his own noise snuffers ($80/set of three) in the wall outlets and three black walnut Mulder Audio Power line conditioners ($500 each) behind various pieces of equipment. I didn't hear the phono section, also equipped with Ayre Acoustics DPS turntable and Dynavector cartridge. But the CD section left me with warm fuzzies inside. Thank you, Rob Thomas and Luke and Bea Manley.
loa nầy cũng đẹp và mắc quá! Oh my God. What a sound! The lighting and my distance from the speaker doesn't allow you to see it clearly, but there's a little cross inside the radiating grille atop the workings of MBL's Radialstrahler Reference mbl 101 Mk.II speakers ($59,990/pair) that drives home the religious experience that listening to an all-MBL system can create. Music is treated with equal reverence. "Ve don't stop the music midway!" boomed the voice directed at the hapless assistant. "Ve must vait until it has ended. I do not like this!" Somehow, we all survived, and Rachmaninoff's Symphonic Dances from Reference Recordings' miraculous disc filled the room with the most astoundingly real, three-dimensional presentation I have yet witnessed. Of course, with so many rooms to visit, I didn't want to sit through all 18 minutes of the first section. So, praying that I would not witness a decapitation, I had to beg the hapless assistant three times to do his best to lower the volume and give me back my CD before he dared make a move. But what an experience! At my previous Show experiences with MBL electronics, there has been a certain pearly shininess to the stunning sound that I've found a bit unnatural. But that was with different speakers. This was some of the most natural sound I've heard from any system. Also responsible were the mbl 6010 D Reference preamp ($23,800), 9011 Luxury amplifier ($42,900.00), 1611 F Reference DAC ($24,750 with 24/96/192 and SACD interface capacity), and1622 Reference transport ($27,500). It's time for me to check my Lotto ticket to see if I can find a way to buy the whole thing.
Cái mâm đĩa than nầy cũng thuộc loại " quái đản" How I wish I could have seen Stephen Mejias' reaction to the Montegiro Lusso Komplet turntable ($33,000), distributed in the US by Koetsu USA. This thing looks like a cross between a tray of black and white ice cream parfaits and something from a Fellini movie. But it sure sounded good. Equipped with two arms, from SME and DaVinci, and two Koetsu cartridges, the Coral Stone Platinum ($15,000) and Onyx Platinum ($8000), the KMLK (for short) was making magic through Chario Serendipity Sovereign loudspeakers ($17,000/pair). This system gave the most realistic portrayal of Satchmo's trumpet I have ever heard. On another recording (unidentified), the sound of the sax was equally breathtaking. I'm sure the Aesthetix Rea, Aesthetix Atlas, Airtight ATC-1, and Tripoint Apollo Power Conditioner bear equal responsibility for the wow factor.
Phối ghép loa cột và ampli đèn đây: Over in the Tech Center Hyatt, Mark Schifter's AV123 corralled a huge room in which to showcase their soon-to-be-shipped flagship LS9 Focus Line Source speaker ($5999/pair). Powered by gorgeous Dodd Audio KT-88 monoblocks (approx. $40,000/pair—there was no literature on hand), the brand new Ultra Fi Music Stream USB-connectable DAC ($3499) with a proprietary analogue output stage designed by Larry Moore, a Ridge Street Audio USB cable that he waxes ecstatic about, and a laptop equipped with every kind of classical music (except what I wanted to hear), the system was creating astoundingly large-scale, believable images and enveloping sound. While designer Danny Richie's proprietary woofer array was issuing tremendous bass, a touch of brittleness on the highs gave evidence of the fact that the planar-magnetic tweeters had hardly broken in. You can bet that I'll be back again on Sunday to hear how they sound with some more hours on them. What this speaker does for the price is astounding.
Loa nầy nhỏ gọn, độ nhậy đến 95DB lận! chơi ampli đèn chắc hay. Dưng mà giá mắc quá! In addition to building his SLA-powered electronics and making babies, Vinnie Rossi is now the new US distributor for WLM loudspeakers. How does he do it all? The front-ported Diva Monitor ($5000/pair) uses a paper-cone coaxial drive unit, has a handy tweeter control on its back panel, and is said to provide an impressive 95dB sensitivity.
Highend Show mà sao thấy Bác nầy lại mang ra khoe cái " líp xe đạp" để làm gì nhỉ? I know. It sounds a bit like a Beatles flashback. (Note the psychedelic colors on Ron Hedrick's face, for reasons that only the Marriott lobby's lighting designer can explain). But this seems to be a very 2008 product. Marigo's Ron Hedrick spent 2 years building 120 prototypes before releasing his VX Mystery Feet for amplifiers, DACs, and other components ($699/set of three), and TR Mystery Feet for digital transports and CD players ($659/set of three). Each support foot consists of 32 parts, with 10 constrained layers of composite material that are first heated, then pressed at 1000psi. Hand-assembled, the feet include little brass inserts on the component end to distribute energy. You balance your components on the protruding little brass thingees on one end and pray there's no earthquake. The first review I've seen suggests that the TR Mystery Feet work especially well under tube players, and are state-of-the-art. (They had better be, considering the price). They are claimed to work as well as the Townshend Seismic Sinks. Marigo's incredible Signature 3-D Mat, Vs. 2 is an indispensable part of my reference system, and does wonders in my Carmen II transport. I wonder how it would sound with these guys under it. These I've got to hear.
Ampli đèn gì mà to vật vã thế nầy, làm sao mà bê nổi? So new that they don't yet have a price or production facility, the Red Rock Synergy speakers did wonders with Ron Carter's double bass. On the superb Chesky CD, Entre Amigos, every single note of Carter's bass was perfectly controlled, perfectly pitched, and absolutely lifelike, with not an iota of boom. The great bossa nova singer Rosa Passos was similarly treated with the utmost respect and love. The speaker features a 15" dynamic woofer, crossed over at 600Hz; a Tractrix horn-loaded magnetic-planar midrange that crosses over at 8kHz; and a ribbon tweeter of unspecified origin. Designed by Gordon Maughan, the Synergy speakers made a fitting complement to the Red Rock Audio Renaissance SE 50W triode amplifiers ($29,500/pair), Wadia 781i CD/SACD player with digital input ($14,950), and Red Rock Audio cabling. Oh how I wish Carter's bass sounded anywhere near this good on my own speakers. Here's hoping Al Stiefel and Gordon Maughan find someone to build these babies soon. mà to vật vã thế nầy , làm sao bê nổi?
Bác nào đang xài máy băng cối thì đừng ngần ngại: bà con bên đó vẫn xài như thường. chỉ có điều chắc khó kiếm những cuộn băng gốc, cở như: sơn ca, trường sơn... Music in the Symposium Acoustics room was spinning on a modified Tascam reel player. The Tascam stood tall and proud directly between the loudspeakers and atop a high Symposium Acoustics stand. I noted an interesting sonic perspective. I found myself looking up while I listened, not certain whether I was entranced by Frank Sinatra's smooth delivery or mesmerized by the spinning tape.
Bố già McIntosch đang giới thiệu thiết bị MS300 Music Server. nghe đồn là thiết bị nầy lưu trử được 50.000 bài nhạc! khỏi mua CD trử cho chật nhà. In current server-speak, the MS300's hard drive will hold up to 50,000 "songs." There are four MP3 compression rates available: 128, 160, 192, and 320kbps. Presumably, the specified maximum capacity is at 128k, the highest compression rate.
Ampli đèn giá $399 cực kỳ hấp dẫn, mại dô mại dô ! JoLida will be releasing a new line called the Glass Fx, and here is their first prototype called the JD-10 ($399) stereo integrated amplifier. It uses EL84 tubes for output to produce 10 watts per channel. There are three inputs, two being RCA and the other being 1/8-inch for portable audio players.
Hảng AYON giới thiệu cái ampli đèn KT88. Các hộp transformer chắc làm bằng cốc uống nước inox cho nó mát...và thân thiện với môi trường. Ayon had their new Triton integrated amplifier hat uses a quartet of KT88 tubes per channel, plus a selection of 12AU7. There are four inputs plus a direct all via RCA jacks..
Thùng loa hình dạng như cái sâu kèn của Hảng ViV Laboratory .Gớm! dán một lúc 63 lớp gỗ, tốn kém quá đi. Giá $60.000 cũng chưa phải là đỉnh. War Of The World's? No, it is ViV Laboratory evanui signature loudspeakers ($60,000). This is a 'full range' single 3-inch driver unit with a cabinet made from 63 layers of wood.
Bác Feastrex nầy rất thích " có núm ". Bác ấy giới thiệu cái ampli 811 có đến 4 cái " múm " Feastrex was showing a prototype of their 811 tubed stereo amplifier that produced 17 watts per channel Degawa bridge rectification, Tango transformers... The top line stuff here folks.
Bác Thoress trình làng cái pre có cả phono MC. Giá đến 4.600 EUR. Và được bà con khen là giống đồ DIY quá đi! Chắc Bác ấy đang chửi thầm tay nào khen kỳ cục quá. Thoress is like DIY gone pro with their offerings. Seen here is the company's dual-mono design preamplifier (4,600€) with three MC phono inputs. Three MM version is also available.
